Digital Tools
There are many ways in which you can bring technology in your classroom to support your students. This section will explain two ways I have used technology in my classroom.
Digital Social Stories
There are many ways to create digital social stories. One way to create your own digital social story, from the very beginning to the very end, is by using programs such as iMovie (supported on Mac computers) or Movie Maker (supported on computers running Windows). These programs give you complete control over every aspect of the social story but they do require a fair amount of technological skill.
Example: This is a clip of a digital social story that I created and implemented in my classroom. It does not follow the traditional Social Story script (developed by Carol Gray) but it does work successfully for my student. The video was created in iMovie and contains video clips, audio clips, and pictures taken to support all activities and transitions throughout this student's day. All of the classroom teachers were used when recording the script. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z2wauryd4av3180/What%20I%20Do%20Great%20At%20School%20-%20Large.m4v
Another way you can create a digital social story is by using Stories 2 Learn (an app available to purchase through iTunes). I have not used this personally but the example below provides a little more detail of the program.

If you are looking for video modeling, this is a good example (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0GChccw7y8&feature=youtu.be) of recording a simple video to model a situation for your student.
